Childlike Faith

Star light, Star bright,
First star I see tonight.
I wish I may,
I wish I might,
Have this wish I wish tonight.

Star white, star knight,
Strongest star I see tonight.
I pray I may,
I pray I might,
Gain some hope to hold tonight.

Past star, past light,
Bethlehem’s star I see tonight.
I see I may,
I see I might,
Have holy hope to hold tonight.

Holy fire, burning bright,
Set a fire of your might.
I pray I may,
I pray I might,
Have this light I seek tonight.

Spark in me, fan to flame.
Faith like fire, love to claim.
You called my name.
Broken, I came.
Forgiven, I feel no shame.

Father God, you are here.
Loving arms draw me near.
I pray no tear,
I pray no fear,
Steals the love I hold so dear.
